Ampush Details Successful Facebook Marketing Campaign For LivingSocial

Facebook Preferred Marketing Developer and social technology company Ampush shared the details of a successful advertising campaign on the social network for deal-of-the-day website LivingSocial, in which it focused on domain sponsored stories and custom audiences.

Ampush said it set out to obtain new LivingSocial users cost-effectively, and to obtain the most net value per ad spend dollar on Facebook, and to do so, it decided to focus on domain sponsored stories in the news feed, which shared Facebook users’ engagement with LivingSocial with their friends.

Custom audiences were tapped in order to target both current LivingSocial users and Facebook users who had made purchases via LivingSocial in the past.

The results: Ampush said the domain sponsored stories it ran in the news feed generated click-through rates 20 times higher than those for domain ads on the right-hand side of the page, boasting that it was able to keep costs per acquisition 60 percent below those for concurrent campaigns run by other Facebook PMDs.

More important, the 58 percent return on investment from the campaign caused LivingSocial to expand its Facebook marketing initiatives.

Can You Really Start Today And Make Money Today In Affiliate Marketing?

I think it is a fair question to ask.

Just how fast can you make money in affiliate marketing?

I understand you can join an affiliate program and be in business in the next 5 minutes. That is cool.

Many times you are going to have a product, and a website coded with your I.D. number ready for you to promote. Not true with Google Adsense, but it is true with ClickBank, Amazon, and so on.

You are also going to have marketing materials to advertise with. You will probably have several short training videos on how to get your new site out there online where people can find it.

Do you remember Hugh M. Woods? They were the old version of Lowe’s or Home Depot.

They used to have great training manuals for the do it yourself person right next to every checkout stand. Every now and then I would buy one if there was something coming out that I was thinking about doing around the house.

For example, I laid tile in a kitchen and read a book on that. Understand that this was way before the Internet where you could literally find information on anything you wanted.

I completed the job and it looked really bad. I ended up having my father-in-law come over and help me make things look better.

No matter how many do it your self home-improvement books I read I would never be good at home improvements. I don’t have a good aptitude for it, and it’s not anything I’m remotely interested in.

I see the same thing happening today on affiliate marketing. Yes anyone can make money, and they might get lucky and make a sale today if they found the right person at the right time.

The reason most people fail in affiliate marketing is because they either don’t have an aptitude for this, or they never really learn how to promote online.

Actually, once you learn how to get traffic to a website, it really doesn’t matter what the business model is. You can make money as a network marketer. You can make money in affiliate marketing, build email lists, or promote a service that you will provide such as blog writing or website design.

I happen to think that the best thing the average person can do in affiliate marketing is learn how to outsource. If you get enough seed money to jumpstart your affiliate marketing business you have an excellent chance to make money if you outsource the majority of the work.

Once you make a profit reinvest some of that back into growing your business even more. Maybe do some paid advertising such as pay per click on Google or Bing.

You really don’t have to be an expert on affiliate marketing. You do need to become an expert at finding good niches to target.

Choosing good products to sell. And then outsourcing the work whether it’s setting up a blog, or driving traffic to it.

None of this is going to happen today. However, for some of you it could happen in the near future.

Why Patience is Required in Network Marketing

I wanted to write a post about “Patience in Network Marketing” today and when I researched my blog, I noticed that I had already written a post on that subject two years ago.

When I read through it this morning I noticed that it already addressed a lot of what I was going to write about. For that reason I decided to share it with you again today.  Some of you, who have been with me for a while may already have read it before, but those of you who are pretty new readers may not have. In any case I hope it is of value to you and you enjoy it.

So without further ado here it is…

 Patience in Network Marketing

However, since this post is mostly about patience in prospecting and there’s a lot more that requires our patience in network marketing I would like to expand on the subject a little bit.

For example, you may get frustrated, especially in the beginning, because your business may not grow as fast as you would like it to. Or some of your team members may slow down or even quit altogether. Life happens! Also, people get into network marketing to become their own boss. Everyone is on their own time schedule, has their own priorities or goals. Always remember, just because you don’t see any results from a particular person that doesn’t mean they are not working the business.

“Trees that are slow to grow bear the best fruit.” ?  Molière

You may know the Story of the Bamboo. See it takes a very long time and a lot of patience to grow bamboo. If you don’t know the story you can find it here.

Never take your frustrations out on your team. Remember that it is teamwork that makes the dream work. You cannot do it by yourself. You need your team, because only through the collective work of you and your team members will you reach the success you desire. Always be kind, supportive, patient and encouraging and praise even the smallest accomplishment. You catch more flies with sugar than with vinegar.

Network marketing is much like farming. You keep sowing new seeds every day. Some of these seeds will be eaten by birds, others blown away by the wind. And others still just wither and die. That’s just the fact. But some of these seeds make it and grow into a beautiful harvest. So don’t cry over the ones that didn’t make it, stay focused on your goal and be thankful for the ones who did.

For that beautiful crop of people who made it through the storms and through all the rough patches and which grew strong and bloomed, eventually will spread their own seeds starting the whole process all over again growing your business beyond your wildest imagination.

“He that can have patience can have what he will.” ? Benjamin Franklin

Failure to Communicate a Fatal Mistake in Network Marketing

“What we’ve got here is a failure to communicate.”  - Paul Newman. Maybe you have heard this quote from 1967 movie, “Cool Hand Luke” before.

Not everyone has great communication skills, some of us are better communicators than others. But thank goodness effective communication is a skill that can be learned.

To be successful in network marketing you need to have at least the basics down. You need to be considerate of your potential customer or team member. Don’t ‘throw up’ on them, in other words don’t dominate the conversation by overloading them with facts and details about your opportunity. Ask questions and find out if there is a need for what you have to offer instead.

And then….LISTEN!!!

Has this ever happened to you? You’ve introduced a prospect to your opportunity, you did a great presentation and he even showed up for a late-night conference call. All excited he asked you, the question you’ve been waiting for… “What does it take to get started?”

And then, you blew it!!

You blew it because instead of answering the question you went off on a tangent on how great your company is. Hello, were you not listening?

When someone asks you what it takes to get started, you answer the darn question. You don’t get into more details about your company or how many products they have or how many patents are pending or how many awards they have received or any of that nonsense. The person is already excited and wants to START or he or she wouldn’t ask what it takes to do so.

The only thing you say at this point is…

“It depends, they have different starter packages. Do you want to build your business fast or do you want to build it slow?”

If you like to talk you’ve got to learn how to “zip it” or you’ll have a hard time sponsoring anyone into your business.

I remember a conference call with Dani Johnson a long time ago where she suggested having a roll of duct tape next to your phone when you call potential prospects. Cut off a strip and use it to cover your mouth between questions. Kind of like, you ask a question and then you put the strip of duct tape over your mouth and really listen to the answer. Ask another question, and do the same. Repeat until your prospect is ready to join.

And especially at THAT point….APPLY DUCT TAPE!

You’ve got two ears and one mouth for a reason. Listen twice as much as you talk to avoid any failure to communicate.

When you reach the point in your sponsoring process when your prospect, or customer is ready to make a commitment you’ve got to stay extremely focused and totally tune into him or her. Don’t just listen to the words that are spoken, but also to those that remain unspoken.

Let’s say you are chatting with a prospect on Facebook. Watch how the conversation progresses. If your prospect was “chatty” at first and shared a lot of information with you and suddenly his responses dwindled down to one or two words, you’ve lost him. And once you’ve lost him it is very hard if not impossible to get him back. So remember to apply the duct tape and avoid any failure to communicate.

Over to you….Has anything like this ever happened to you? Are you a chatterbox? Please share your experience in the comment section below. Thank You!

A Post Planner Review – Easy Facebook Marketing On Auto-Pilot!

Welcome to this Post Planner review.

This is a cool tool that you can use to automate your Facebook group, wall and page postings. I’ve used it now for a few weeks and have gotten some great results from it.

Whether you want to get leads or just increase your brand exposure on Facebook, the Post Planner is going to make things a damn site easier!

Obviously you will need to join some groups on Facebook to post to…I look for relevant groups and then request to join them. I do this daily and will usually join around 10 a day (trying to fly under the radar).

You need to remember that Facebook limit each account to joining 300 groups so if you’re really gonna go ‘bad-ass’ with this strategy then you might want to consider opening a few Facebook accounts.

When posting on Facebook make sure you are offering some kind of value…just chucking up a link to the next amazing biz opportunity is old and boring, plus it’s what the majority of people are doing. So…..to stand out from the noise, offer interesting valuable information, use an eye grabbing image and title!

Sometimes I link straight to a capture page (one of my own) and I’ve seen some great results, so set up some tracking and experiment.

I’m feeling lazy today so won’t write much else apart from get busy and start posting on Facebook!

It’s a great source of free leads and you can get some really good conversions out of it.

You might find my earlier blog post useful as well which shows you how to get free leads from Facebook.

If you enjoyed this post then please spread the love and like, share and tweet!

3 Mistakes To Avoid In Internet Marketing

When it comes to internet marketing, there are things that you simply need to avoid so that you will not waste your time.

Unfortunately, these are very common mistakes and if you are able to avoid these, you will be able to have an edge on your competition.

If you are serious about being a successful internet marketer, then you need to focus on these mistakes and to remember to avoid them.

Not having a niche

Making your presence known online is all about having a niche. If you fail to choose a good niche, you will never be able to really succeed.

This is because the internet already has a lot of competition and so you need to find a niche where you can excel and actually get traffic to your site.

Rushing the process

Too many people simply try to get overnight success and this is not going to happen. If you are serious about being able to succeed in any aspect of life, rushing things will only make things worse.

You need to take it slow and focus on long term success. Once you realize that patience really is a virtue, you will see that your online journey will only get better.

No originality

The internet has a lot of content and so you can't be a copy of other things. You will need to be original and have your own style on the internet. Once you are able to do this, there is no stopping you from succeeding.

If you are able to avoid these simple things, you will be able to really make your presence known on the internet. Most people will admit that these are the simplest mistakes to create and if you avoid these from the very beginning, you will be able to really prosper online.

Getting Started With CPA Marketing

CPA marketing is extremely interesting to do if you want to make money without the nitty gritty of creating your own products to sell.

CPA stands for Cost Per Action, and when you join a CPA network, you will get the chance to put these CPA offers on your site and make money for every single time somebody completes the offer.

On average, these offers will make your visitors to sign up for their newsletter, finish a survey, leave their number, leave a comment, or simply anything. The visitor will then receive a nice gift from the owner of the ad.

Of course, there are several ways to begin in this business, and it could be worth your while to follow these tips when getting started.

When you first begin, try finding a CPA network that other people have recommended.

Finding one isn't that hard, as there are so many that other marketers have left reviews on.

Once you find the perfect one, make sure that you already have a fully built site, as CPA networks never accept new partners who don't have a full website built.

This is the reason why you should really consider getting a website up and running by now.

You can then sign up to the CPA network, and as long as your site is legit and has no bad content, you will be accepted.

In order to gain success with CPA marketing, all you need to do is get traffic and to take your time when finding the perfect offer, as there are some which won't work well with your visitors.

By choosing the perfect set of offers that will be appealing to the majority of your visitors, you can expect to achieve success with CPA marketing.

CPA has always been popular among the biggest marketers out there. What you need to know is that this business is hard to succeed, and as long as you understand the concept, you can be sure to make lots of cash.

What is Article Marketing And How To Get Traffic From Article Directories

Article marketing is a form of promotion which can be done for nearly any site that you may have.

Article directories require that you write 500 word articles with good content, and when you place the link of your website at the bottom, it's used as both a back link and a nice way to make some instant traffic.

This is a very easy way to get some good articles out there pointing back at your site. What most people don't get is being able to get lots of traffic from this source of marketing.

The best way to get traffic from these articles is to focus on longtail keywords related to your niche. It doesn't matter whether you're in the IM niche or the golf niche, there are many longtail keywords that you can target.

Try using Google's keyword tool to look for some good keywords that you can try ranking for.

Once you find one good keyword to rank for, include that keyword in your article in the first sentence, middle of the article, the last paragraph, and the last sentence.

This will definitely help make that article get on the search engines. I suggest using high quality authority sites like Ezine Articles or Street Articles, as there are good chances that you don't need to spend so much time on gaining back links once the article is posted.

If the keyword has nearly no competition, it can get ranked almost instantly one it's accepted.

A good tip worth remembering is to always try and market into the mini niches. If you have an affiliate site on golf, try writing articles in the mini parts of the golf niche like improving sand trap shots, putting, improving mental game, or having a longer drive.

By creating articles that are focusing on the smaller parts of your niche, you'll be dominating nearly every longtail keyword with ease.
