Why Patience is Required in Network Marketing

I wanted to write a post about “Patience in Network Marketing” today and when I researched my blog, I noticed that I had already written a post on that subject two years ago.

When I read through it this morning I noticed that it already addressed a lot of what I was going to write about. For that reason I decided to share it with you again today.  Some of you, who have been with me for a while may already have read it before, but those of you who are pretty new readers may not have. In any case I hope it is of value to you and you enjoy it.

So without further ado here it is…

 Patience in Network Marketing

However, since this post is mostly about patience in prospecting and there’s a lot more that requires our patience in network marketing I would like to expand on the subject a little bit.

For example, you may get frustrated, especially in the beginning, because your business may not grow as fast as you would like it to. Or some of your team members may slow down or even quit altogether. Life happens! Also, people get into network marketing to become their own boss. Everyone is on their own time schedule, has their own priorities or goals. Always remember, just because you don’t see any results from a particular person that doesn’t mean they are not working the business.

“Trees that are slow to grow bear the best fruit.” ?  Molière

You may know the Story of the Bamboo. See it takes a very long time and a lot of patience to grow bamboo. If you don’t know the story you can find it here.

Never take your frustrations out on your team. Remember that it is teamwork that makes the dream work. You cannot do it by yourself. You need your team, because only through the collective work of you and your team members will you reach the success you desire. Always be kind, supportive, patient and encouraging and praise even the smallest accomplishment. You catch more flies with sugar than with vinegar.

Network marketing is much like farming. You keep sowing new seeds every day. Some of these seeds will be eaten by birds, others blown away by the wind. And others still just wither and die. That’s just the fact. But some of these seeds make it and grow into a beautiful harvest. So don’t cry over the ones that didn’t make it, stay focused on your goal and be thankful for the ones who did.

For that beautiful crop of people who made it through the storms and through all the rough patches and which grew strong and bloomed, eventually will spread their own seeds starting the whole process all over again growing your business beyond your wildest imagination.
